In Flanders Fields

Having a family many generations in the Canadian Armed Forces, and some that have lost their lives. This poem is very important to me as I have a great uncle buried in Flanders Fields.

In Flanders fields the poppies blow
Between the crosses, row on row,That mark our place; and in the sky
The larks, still bravely singing, fly
Scarce heard amid the guns below.
We are the Dead. Short days ago
We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow,Loved, and were loved, and now we lie
In Flanders Fields.
Take up our quarrel with the foe:To you from failing hands we throw
The torch; be yours to hold it high.If ye break faith with us who die
We shall not sleep, though poppies grow
In Flanders Fields.- John McCrae

Theresa. I love that poem as well. It also reminds me of fallen family. I know that poem of by heart. I remember having to memorize it in public school. Great Job.

Effective communication is important part of everyday life but even more important for nurses when dealing with a patient with a communications barrier.Learning how to effectively communicate is an essential skill for nurses to have.First understanding how your patient is able to communicate is the base of effective communication.
